shop update

is actually happening this week.
i have plenty of sparkling beauties (many are tourmaline) going up in the shop this week.
i am really excited about adding the tube set stones as well as the larger faceted stones in long, dangling earrings.
i also have a handful of necklaces that are making their way to the shop.
i tend to focus on earrings and rings because those are the accessories that i wear, but i am pleased with the necklaces i have made the past couple of months (and i do mean months.)

also worth a mention, i am splitting a pop-up spot with a fellow ms craftswoman for the next six weeks.
the pop-up is in 'the corner' building in fondren that also houses roosters.
i am planning on opening the doors during lunch hours (11-1:30) during the week.
i will also show up on random weekends throughout the holiday season.

my new earrings from ashley arrived yesterday and i LOVE them!!
i snagged the pair of her fiber earrings with plum and teal, two of my favorite colors.

thank you gina for letting me know that my stormy afternoon earrings made it to the front page early, early this morning.
what a nice convo to wake up to!

new etsymetal earrings...

i cannot get this post layout how i would like...

this month i decided to treat myself to a couple of pair of new earrings from my fellow etsymetalers.
i have to admit that i LOVE them both!!!

caitlyn of disco medusa had a sale recently
and since i have favorited many of her crescent blade earrings i knew that i had to just go for it.
i chose the medium crescent blades and i could not be happier.
i love this design and really wish i was clever enough to think of it on my own
and the medium version is perfect to wear every single day.


the first pair i bought (stupid blogger can't get it right) was the mod leaf earrings from nina dinoff.
there were so many things in nina's shop that i loved, it was hard to decide.
the earrings are very sleek and show off sparkling garnet and smoky quartz.
they are the fanciest earrings i own and will really look nice with my zombie tees.

i still haven't done anything in the jewelry department other than take some pics of finished items to list in my etsy shop.
i did finish my extra long and luxurious purple scarf and a rather sparkly pinewood derby car.
i am feeling a little antsy to get back into things, but i do think this break is necessary for everyone's sanity.

this week has been more relaxing than the ones before.
i have been taking photos of everything, but it has been pretty piece meal since i just can't get motivated to sit out in the heat for several hours in the afternoon.

last week i spent 4 days out of town camping and got very little sleep.
the beginning of this week i busted my butt on samples for the ms market (wholesale) show.
i was very happy with the quantity and quality of my samples as well as my display.
however, the first day of sales was very disappointing and i hope it picks up tomorrow.

i plan on offering some small stud assortments as well as some of my more detailed pieces.
this is just one of the new color combos that i have put together this week.
next week i will be working on enamel and on putting the finishing touches on my line sheet.

so, while i have been working on my line sheets/brochures, i have also been working on a batch of stamped minis that the market itself will be putting into some gift bags.
its nice to know that my item was chosen to help represent the market and also to help offset some of the investment that i have needed specifically for this show (like the line sheets.)

there are some pieces that you are really proud of, that you just walk away with a smile after completing them.
this pair of earrings is that for me.
i cut and filed the pieces for these ages ago and was really worried about putting them together just right.
luckily, everything worked.
