for the project runway jewelry challenge #3.

i made several enameled pendant pieces for my necklace and this ring was based on one of the ones that cracked.
i do like how it turned out and i will add it and others to the shop.

i don't get to play with enamel too often.
i have to get my timing right in order to have time to be productive and also time to jump in the shower before grabbing miles.
sometimes i forget how fun playing with colors and shapes can be.
but once i get a reminder, i can't wait to get back into it and try new things.

so, i am finally getting some of my new pieces up in the shop.
it has taken me a ridiculously long time, especially since it decided to rain this evening when i went to take pics.
i plan more pieces tomorrow as well.

i am finally getting around to completing the finishes and taking some pics.
several of these pieces were firsts or prototypes for things to come.

well, i haven't made a bunch of rings, but i did finish up one and a few pendants that will be listed soon.
when i did the gem & jewelry show several months ago i bought lots of cabs and lots of larimar cabs.
this is just one of the lovelies i picked up.

lately i have been on a ring buying binge.
i've decided that i LOVE them all and that they deserve to be shown off a little more.
my most recent purchase was from brooke of gemmafactrix on etsy. i have four of her bubble rings and have lots of colorful stacking options. they are the perfect combination of happy glass and sleek metal.

i recently participated in the gem & jewelry show here in jackson, ms.
the show was an absolute disaster for me, but i did walk away with a rather impressive bag full of cabs.
i have been playing with them for a couple of weeks and i have some very exciting projects in the works for this week.
(now hopefully i can find the time.)

and my only real distress about this ring is that it is not in a size that fits me.
